Yosemite Mariposa County embraces this EV ethos with supercharged zeal. Here is a list of Yosemite Mariposa EV charging stations so visitors can go the green mile as they explore the natural beauty of our scenic highways and byways.
You might ask, why aren't there more charging locations in the Yosemite Mariposa County region? We're working on expanding charging locations, however rural areas such as Mariposa County have more limited power infrastructure. Work is taking place to increase level three charging station locations.
Highway 49

Highway 41
As the access road to Southern Yosemite, Highway 41 winds its way through stands of conifer and pristine meadows. Highway 120
As the access to Northern Yosemite, Highway 120 (aka Tioga Road) crosses the crest of the Sierra mountain range at Tioga Pass (elevation 9,943Â ft./ 3,031 meters) and connects with Highway 395 to the east. This ruggedly beautiful road winds through the Stanislaus National Forest in Buck Meadows towards the Big Oak Flat Entrance to Yosemite and the turnoff to Hetch Hetchy. Highway 120 then features breathtaking views of Yosemite Valley as it climbs eastward, eventually reaching the ring of Sierra peaks surrounding the blue ripple of Tenaya Lake and the "land before time" enchantment of Tuolumne Meadows.

EV (Extra Valuable) Tips
- Airbnb now has a search filter for the many vacation rentals that allow EV charging. After entering Mariposa, CA and your travel dates, click "More Filters" then under Facilities click "Show all facilities." For the final step check the box "Guests can charge their electric vehicles on the property" and you're plugged in.
- Yosemite National Park requires an entrance fee to access EV charging stations inside the Park.
- For those prospective EVD's who aren't sure whether to use a Level 2 J-1772 or a CHAdeMO, check out a glossary of EV terminology to help demystify the jargon.
- Apps such as PlugShare and ChargeHub provide a map of EV charging stations plus user "check-ins" to see who's charging where, when and how.
- Some stations are open to the public, some are for lodging guests only, others require reservations or fees "” be sure to check ahead and verify procedures.
