The French Fire, active near Mariposa, is mapped at 843 acres with 5% containment. State Route 140 north of Mariposa at the junction of highway 49 has reopened with traffic controls allowing access to Yosemite National Park.
Yosemite National Park is open. Access to Yosemite National Park is open from the west on highways 41, 140 and 120. Fire crews and first responders are active in the area. For their safety and yours, obey posted road closures, and speed limits and avoid areas where crews are present.
Smoke may be present in the area and could pose an impact to air quality.
