In this immersive three-day workshop, artists will explore the breathtaking landscapes and natural features of Yosemite Valley alongside renowned artist and naturalist Andrea Dingeldein. Participants will learn tips and tricks for capturing natural subjects both small and large: from acorns, flowers, and trees to distant mountains and granite monoliths. Guided practice will focus on building skills in watercolor, with additional insights into using pen & ink and colored pencil to refine your sketches. With an emphasis on composition, field note-taking, and the art of nature journaling, this workshop provides a welcoming space to grow your skills and experience the park through sketching practice. Daily sketchbook shares and group discussions offer opportunities for inspiration, connection, and sharing diverse perspectives.
