Yosemite Falls

The tallest waterfall in North America, majestic Yosemite Falls (2,424 feet) is the focal point of the Park’s natural beauty. Fed by snowmelt, the gentle flow becomes a torrent in spring before peaking early summer.

Come meditate on the footbridge at the base of the falls, position your tripod to capture a moonbow, or lace up your boots and hike to the top. So much to do!

What is the Best Way to View Yosemite Falls?

The Yosemite Falls camera provides a real-time look at one of the world’s tallest waterfalls, with the best views available during daylight hours when lighting and visibility are strongest. Late morning through afternoon often offers the clearest webcam views, especially in spring and early summer when snowmelt creates the falls’ most powerful flow.

While the webcam captures the seasonal changes, visitors can experience this same dramatic view in person by heading to Yosemite Valley and visiting the Lower Yosemite Falls area. Learn more about viewing locations and seasonal highlights on the Yosemite Falls page.
