Kowana Valley Lodge

Escape into the wilderness at this 300 acres homestead located in the Sierra foothills outside of Yosemite National Park. Developed over a span of almost 20 years, Kowana Valley has miles of maintained hiking trails, a year-round creek, multiple swimming holes, and even a limestone cave to explore.

Kowana Valley is great as a stand-alone retreat or can be a convenient base-camp for excursions into Yosemite Valley and its surrounds. You will stay at our 2,700 sqf lodge with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, a fire pit area, a bbq grill, and a rec room with ping pong table.

Custom-designed to operate in the middle of the Stanislaus National Forest without utilities service, the Kowana Valley Lodge operates on a 100% off-grid system but functions with the convenience and familiarity of a home in the city.
