Overview

Location
On the Tioga Road at Tuolumne Meadows, about 1.5 hours northeast of Yosemite Valley, at 8,600 feet (2,600 m) elevation

Season
All campsites: approximately July through late September (view this year’s estimated opening and closing dates)

Reservations
Tuolumne Meadows Campground Reservation Fee – Standard Sites (RV or Tent) and Tent Only Sites (non-group site)/night $36.00

Tuolumne Meadows Campground Group Site Fee – Group Site/night $75.00

Tuolumne Meadows Campground Stock Site Fee – Stock Site/night $50.00

Campsite Details
Tent and RV sites: 304 sites with space for RVs and trailers up to 35 feet
Group sites: 7 (no RVs or trailers allowed)
Horse sites: 4 with space for trailers up to 27 feet
Not every site can accommodate equipment of these lengths. Be sure to read the site details when making a reservation on recreation.gov to ensure your equipment will fit into the site you’re reserving. You can also find answers to frequently asked questions about length limits and site types or call the Tuolumne Meadows campground office at 209/372-4025.
Each campsite contains a fire ring, picnic table, and food locker [33″(D)x45″(W)x18″(H)], and is near a bathroom with drinking water and flushing toilets. The group sites have five food lockers.

Dump station: Yes, on the Tioga Road just west of the campground

Services
Groceries: Nearby (small grocery store in Tuolumne Meadows)
Showers: Yosemite Valley (Half Dome Village, formerly Curry Village and Housekeeping Camp)

Accessibility
The following campsites are suitable for wheelchairs and include picnic tables with extended tops. The closest restrooms to these campsites are also wheelchair accessible. These campsites are limited to people with disabilities.
Sites: A5, A41, B37, B38, B39, C1, C74, C75, D10, H16, H17, H18, H19

Regulations
Pets: Permitted (except in group sites; must be on a leash at all times)
Fires: Wood fires are permitted all year.
People per site: A maximum of six people (including children) are allowed per campsite, except for the group site, which requires 13 to 30 people. There is no limit on the number of tents (as long as they all fit into the campsite).
