Mariposa Paint Out 2026

Sierra Artists Gallery invites artists to the second Mariposa Paint Out. Last year was so much fun we are doing it again! This is an open call–all are welcome to enter. All mediums. Registrants will be provided a packet with a schedule, a map with boundaries and suggested places to paint in and around Mariposa, rules and all event details. Cash Awards will be given on Sunday afternoon. Artists may enter up to two artworks displayed framed or unframed on the artist’s easel at the awards location. Artwork sale through Sierra Artists Gallery after awards ceremony.

Sunday, April 26, Awards Gathering and reception as the finale of the Mariposa Paint Out, with with 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice Awards followed by a sale of the art on display. All welcome!

There are three optional Artist workshops to sign up for with award winning instructors: Veronica Gross, Christine Obers and Penny Otwell.
