Bridalveil Fall

Overview

This is The One—the one that Ansel Adams made famous in his shot of Yosemite Valley from Inspiration Point. Bridalveil Fall is one of Yosemite’s most iconic waterfalls, probably second only to its big sister, Yosemite Falls, except that Bridalveil Fall flows year-round.

The rehabilitation of the Bridalveil Fall parking area, including the short hike to the base is expected to be complete by the fall of 2023, revealing a new experience to visitors to this iconic waterfall.

The best time to visit Bridalveil Fall is early spring. However, it can be flowing almost year round due to a wetland area above the waterfall that absorbs winter rain and snow and releases it slowly throughout the year.

This is an excellent trail for hiking year-round, although you may encounter icy conditions in winter.
