U.S. Capitol Tree in Mariposa

U.S. Capitol Tree in Mariposa
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Santa Claus and Mountain Mrs. Claus are coming to town and they’re bringing the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree with them!

Join in on the festivities of November 4 from 12 – 2 at 5087 State Highway 140 (the lot between Stage Stop and Take-N-Bake Pizza) in Mariposa. Entertainment will include a performance from the Mariposa County High School Band and Christmas songs sang by elementary school students. Mountain Mrs. Claus will be the events MC and a Yosemite National Park ranger will speak about the tree, which was harvested in Six Rivers National Forest in Northern California. This is a FREE event and there will be fun gifts for the kids to enjoy.

Mariposa is just one stop on the tree’s route from Northern California to Washington D.C. where it will be set up and decorated in front of the U.S. Capitol Building. To learn more about the tree’s route, click the link here.
