Shakespeare in Yosemite

Shakespeare in Yosemite
Date:
04/24/2022
Time:
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Presented by UC Merced and the Yosemite National Park Service, Shakespeare in the Park returns for 2022. This year’s show is uniquely adapted for Yosemite National Park, based on Shakespeare’s Love’s Labor’s Lost, and is set in 1969, with groovy music and costumes, and an evocation of the first Earth Day. Read more about the concept here!

All shows are FREE and open to the public. There are no tickets; just show up!
Shows will begin with a preshow of live 1969-era music, starting a half-hour before the show.

Love’s Labor’s Lost will be performed in Yosemite’s Curry Village Amphitheatre:
Friday, April 22nd (Earth Day): 5:30 pm
Saturday, April 23 (Shakespeare’s Birthday): 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm
Sunday, April 24: 12:00 noon

The Curry Village amphitheater is behind the Guest Lounge, as seen on this map. Reservations are currently not needed to enter the Park, but we recommend arriving early. We also recommend getting to Yosemite via YARTS busses, and booking accommodation ASAP if you plan to stay overnight.
