“Miwuk”, passionately documents the Southern Sierra Miwuk Tribe through the eyes of 7 members whose ancestors lived here in Mariposa County for over a thousand years. Through their words, we enjoy the heartwarming stories of years past and saddened by their accounts of the heartbreaking adversities their people have endured over the years. Some stories, many people will hear for the first time.

We hope, after viewing this film, you will have a better understanding of the “Miwuk”

Screening at Mariposa County High School Auditorium February 8 at 4 and 6 PM. Tickets on sale now at the Mariposa Visitor Center. Proceeds go the Southern Sierra Miwuk Federal Acknowledgement Efforts. For tickets, click here.
