Ciera Wine Cellars is a boutique winery that owns and controls all aspects of wine production from the planting of the vines to the finished product in your glass along with a partnership with the finest growers in our area. Proprietors Mike and Tori Hall have chosen the vineyard site, varieties, rootstocks and vine trellising to marry these critical components, creating a unique and custom final product.
The vineyard has been established with a strong focus on sustainable farming practices ensuring a balance between high quality fruit and low impact upon the environment. They believe that this commitment to sustainable farming will provide consumers with a high quality product that is consistent year after year.
Wine making practices include open top fermentation in custom stainless steel tanks, extended maceration period and aging wines a minimum of 18 months in new Hungarian and Eastern European cooperage. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in new American Oak from A & K Cooperage in Missouri blended with new Balazs barrels from Hungary for a unique Ciera flavor profile.
Ciera Wine Cellars is located in the heart of the Sierra-Nevada Mountains in Mariposa County near the west entrance to Yosemite National Park.
