HUMMINGBIRDS -

Barbara and Duane Robinson, owners of Indian Peak Ranch in Mariposa County, operate an official monitoring site for the Hummingbird Monitoring Network, a science-based program dedicated to the conservation of hummingbird diversity and abundance throughout the New World. Since joining the Network in 2004, they have captured and banded more hummingbirds than any of the other 30-plus sites in the Network.

Visitors can witness first hand the process of capturing and banding these amazing creatures. Please call (209) 966-5259 for an appointment to drop by during an early morning session. Sessions are held once every other week from March through October. For more information, send us an Email. You can also visit www.HumMonNet.org for additional information about the Hummingbird Monitoring Network.
